Liaisons to LNOCA for INFOhio Services (LLIS)
LLIS Qualifications
- Certification/licensure in K-12 library/media (preferred)
- Knowledgeable in library policies and procedures (minimum)
- Possesses organizational and communication skills
- Can devote the time necessary to ensure the success of district-wide implementation of library automation
Roles and Responsibilities
- Serves as a liaison between LNOCA and the district's building level library personnel. Responsible for bringing district concerns to LNOCA meetings and returning information from the meetings to all appropriate staff within the district.
- Attends all Liaison to LNOCA for INFOhio Services meetings during the school year.
- Plans and facilitates the implementation of library automation within the district.
- Attends library automation training sessions offered by LNOCA as needed to maintain proficiency in use of the library automation software and assists other library/media staff with training.
- Performs/assists with district System Administrator functions such as, but not limited to: software settings/policy management, calendar maintenance, library staff access, circulation policies, and database/collection maintenance.
- Coordinates all technical aspects of the automation project.

2011-12 INFOhio Users Council Representatives: Kathy Lawrence (Cleveland Hts - University Hts) and Jane Spencer (Western Reserve Academy)
The Users Council Representative has the following responsibilities:
- Represent all libraries automated with LNOCA
- Attend the INFOhio Users Council Meetings
- Work with LNOCA staff to set agendas and facilitate LLIS meetings
- Offer feedback to LNOCA staff regarding meetings and training
- Provide input/feedback for the continuous improvement of LNOCA
Committees
- Electronic Resources
Chair: Fr. Timothy Buyansky (Benedictine) - serve as an advisory group for issues related to electronic resources
- assist with promoting INFOhio's Core Collection of electronic resources
- review/evaluate other products to recommend to LNOCA and the LLIS
- provide recommendations for training/promotional materials needed with regard to electronic resources
- Library Automation / Other Issues
Chair: Gayle Schmuhl (Berea) - serve as an advisory group for issues related to INFOhio library automation software and other issues
- provide feedback for enhancements needed to the library automation software
- provide feedback and recommendations on database maintenance issues
- provide recommendations for training/promotional materials needed with regard to library automation
- PR / Advocacy
Chair: Sr. Paula Greggila (Holy Name) - serve as an advisory group for issues related to PR and advocacy
- assist in obtaining data (evidence) to promote and advocate for school library/media programs
- assist in fostering collaboration among the LLIS to share peer materials
- assist in communicating PR/Advocacy issues to decision makers in the LNOCA service area
