Director - The Director's Gig
In naval tradition, ships have included a Captain's gig which functioned as the Captain's private taxi. It is a catchall phrase for this type of craft as over the years it [the Captain's gig] has gradually increased in size, changed with the advent of new technologies for locomotion, and been crafted from increasingly more durable materials.
The Captain's Gig is the inspiration for this page, The Director's Gig. Certainly technology continues to change at an ever increasing pace. This virutal gig will be powered by webpages and the Internet. My hope is that it will be more than a "private taxi" and provide information and updates on LNOCA, Education and other Technology topics of interest, moving LNOCA, our members as well as other educational entities forward.
